The Bonnie app
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter in Bonnie is stored on your phone: meals, meal photos, supplements, exercise, bone density results, checklists, goals and settings. It is also included in your phone’s own backups if you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer. Bonnie has no accounts, and we can’t see your diary.
What leaves your phone, and when
Only if you tap “Estimate nutrients” and agree, the meal photo and the description you chose are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes them to Anthropic, PBC (the maker of the Claude AI) to estimate nutrients. Nothing else from your diary is sent. Our server processes them in memory and doesn’t store or log them. Anthropic acts as our service provider: it processes them only to make the estimate, under its commercial terms and data processing addendum, doesn’t use them to train its models, and keeps them only briefly for safety and abuse checks (anthropic.com/legal/privacy). To limit how many estimates one device can make, our server keeps each request’s network (IP) address in memory for 15 minutes. It isn’t stored or linked to you.
Health data we collect, and why
The only health-related information that leaves your phone is the meal photo and description you choose to send for an estimate, plus the network address above. We use them only to give you the estimate you asked for. We get them only from you. We share them only with Anthropic, as our service provider. We never sell them.
Subscriptions
If you start a free trial or subscribe to Bonnie Plus, Apple handles your payment; we never see your card or Apple ID details. Our subscription service, RevenueCat, Inc., receives a random ID created by the app (not your name or email) and your purchase history, so Bonnie knows whether Plus is turned on. We use those purchase records only to run subscriptions and to see overall sales and renewals. They aren’t linked to your diary, which stays on your phone.
What we never do
We don’t sell or rent your data. We don’t use advertising, tracking tools, or analytics about how you use the app. We don’t share your diary with employers, insurers, clinics, brands or anyone else.
Reminders and sharing
Reminders are scheduled on your phone, and no data is sent to schedule them. Reminder messages don’t show the name of what you take, because they can appear on your lock screen. When you share a summary, you choose where it goes. Bonnie doesn’t send it anywhere itself.
Partner codes
If you enter a code from a clinic, health plan or brand, Bonnie shows their name and message. The code is stored on your phone only. Partners receive no information about you.
Your choices and rights
You can take back permission for AI estimates at any time in this screen. Tap “Erase my diary” at the bottom of any screen, or delete the app, to remove everything Bonnie stored on your phone. Because we don’t keep your information on our servers, there is nothing else to delete. Depending on where you live (for example Washington, Nevada, Connecticut or California), you may have rights to access, delete or withdraw consent for your personal or health data. To ask about them, email us at the address below. We’ll answer within 45 days.
Children
Bonnie is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we’ll update it in the app and on our website before the change takes effect. Questions: omar.digestable@gmail.com, Digestable, LLC.
This website
No cookies, analytics or tracking
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, advertising, social media buttons or tracking pixels. Our fonts and pictures are stored on our own site, so visiting doesn’t send your information to Google or anyone else.
Our web host
Like every website, our host (Netlify) automatically records basic technical details when you visit, such as your network (IP) address, your browser type and the page you asked for. This is used only to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use it to identify you or combine it with anything else, and the host keeps it only for a short time under its own policy.
If you join the waitlist
We ask only for your email address, and only with your permission. It’s stored securely by Netlify, which may check sign-ups with a spam-filtering service. A copy of each sign-up is emailed to our business inbox, which Google (Gmail) hosts for us. Your address is used only to send you news about Bonnie, such as when it launches. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. We never sell it.
If you email us
We use your message only to answer you, and delete it when it’s no longer needed.
Privacy signals
We don’t track you or sell your information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we honor it anyway.
