Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Who this is for
Some U.S. states, including Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, give you extra rights over “consumer health data”. This page explains, in plain words, the only health-related information Bonnie ever receives, and how to use those rights. Everything else you put in the Bonnie app stays on your phone, and we never receive it.
What we collect, and why
1) A meal photo and description, only if you tap “Estimate nutrients” in the app and agree. We use them only to estimate nutrients for you, and don’t store them. 2) The network (IP) address of that request, kept in memory for 15 minutes to limit how many estimates one device can make. 3) Your email address, only if you join our waitlist, because it may suggest an interest in bone health. We use it only to email you about Bonnie. 4) If you subscribe to Bonnie Plus, a random app ID and your purchase history, to turn Plus on and manage your subscription.
Where it comes from
Only from you, when you choose to send it.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that work for us: Anthropic, PBC (the AI service that makes meal estimates), RevenueCat, Inc. (our subscription service), Netlify (our website host, which also stores waitlist sign-ups). We have no affiliates that receive it. We never sell consumer health data, and we don’t use location or geofencing.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we have your health data, to see it and the list of companies we shared it with, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Because the app keeps your diary on your phone, you can also delete it yourself at any time with “Erase my diary”.
How to ask
Email omar.digestable@gmail.com with the subject “Health data request”. We’ll confirm the request comes from you (for example, by replying to the email address on the waitlist) and answer within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more days. Requests are free.
If we say no
If we decline your request, we’ll explain why. You can appeal by replying with the word “Appeal”. We’ll answer the appeal within 45 days. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact your state’s Attorney General: Washington (atg.wa.gov), Nevada (ag.nv.gov) or Connecticut (portal.ct.gov/ag).
